Becky McDonough

Becky’s love for horses has been a lifelong passion. With over 34 years of riding experience and more than 20 years of teaching, she brings deep knowledge, patience, and insight to every horse and rider she works with. Her favorite part of teaching is witnessing the partnership that develops between horse and rider as confidence, communication, and trust grow.
 

Becky specializes in eventing and in training Off-the-Track Thoroughbreds (OTTBs), with a passion for helping green OTTBs transition into successful and fulfilling second careers. She excels at developing correct, thoughtful foundations that support horses and riders across all three phases of eventing.
 

Becky believes that riders of all ages and abilities deserve individualized, supportive instruction that builds confidence, skill, and understanding. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes correct fundamentals, clear communication, and thoughtful progression tailored to each horse-and-rider partnership. Whether working with beginners, adult amateurs, or competitive event riders, Becky focuses on developing safe, balanced, and effective riders while fostering trust, horsemanship, and meaningful, lasting improvement.
